AIESEC is the world’s largest student driven organization. It provides a leadership development platform for its members by putting them in full control of a global exchange program. From the President of AIESEC International in Rotterdam, NL all the way down to the over 60,000 members in 110 countries, the program is managed entirely by students.
In Vietnam there are 5 chapters of AIESEC, one of which is based out of Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a small team of AIESECers from FTU that originally contacted us, set up sales meetings, and completed the contracting process to bring German and American interns to TPL.
On a breezy night in District 7, all of AIESEC FTU, the national staff of AIESEC in Vietnam, representatives for partner organizations, and interns gathered in the reception hall of the Unilever building to attend an award ceremony. Intern Jesse and Admin Team Leader Tuyet attended the ceremony to represent TPL. Much to their surprise, they arrived to find that Jesse had been nominated for the “Excellent Intern” Award!
During Jesse’s 7.5 months at TPL, he has not only contributed to the community here at TPL, he has also been working to make AIESEC FTU a stronger community. He attends meetings and gives feedback. He also mentors two of their members. In recognition of his outstanding commitments to both TPL and to AIESEC, Jesse was called to the stage to receive his award!
Congratulations and keep up the good work!
